Arizona Sun

Although I'd much rather be in the California sun, I guess spending time with family in this hot Arizona sun is good too. Lance actually came down this past weekend which I loved of course. It was either he came this weekend or he came in a few weeks to come get me and we'd drive back to California together, but I wanted him to come this weekend to kinda break up the time of our separation haha and so he did. But I'm still thinking maybe I can get him to come down in a few weeks to get me too ;]. And if that doesn't happen I'll probably take a road trip back with a few girlfriendddsss that will stay with us for a few days.

Basically while being here in Arizona my first week I just hung out with little Hopies and my brother in law Jammer and his girlfriend Heather and then once Friday came around it was work and the hot sun.

Me and my mother in law got to sit here at fireworks stand allllll day! Just me and her and the sun! it was just wonderful. You can fell the sweat dripping down your back and I drank about 10 bottles of water.

So I kinda feel like my posts of updates is kinda boring so I thought I'd throw in a fun little question game of This or That to spice things up. I wish Lance was here to answer too, even though I could probably guess his answers anyways.

Staying up all night or going to bed early? 

Going to bed early- I like to stay up late if we're doing something, but if we're just at home we usually end up crashin pretty early.

ohhh this is a hard one for me. I know Lance would be oreo easy, but in all honesty I'd probably skip both and just have a bite or two of Lance's oreo ice cream haha.

Here we go

Lance left back to California last night so today begins our month of separation. Blah. I actually was really happy to learn that he was going to be coming back down the 4th of July, but when he got back to work today he discovered that he miscalculated and it won't be coming back until that following weekend, which is typically how military life works with things always changing and having to play most things by ear, so I wasn't too surprised. I'm thinking this first week will consist mostly of doing hair, hanging out with Hope, seeing family, and just relaxing because come this weekend the firework stand starts and that's all work. But I don't mind too much because I feel like I've been sitting around too much lately and I need to do something! Oh and good news, I got my approval letter for my state testing which I'm very happy about I just want to get it over with so that I can go back to CA. I already miss it so much! and the HEAT! holy cow it is so hot here! I mean I've lived here in AZ my whole life so I know how hot it gets but shhhhessssh! I was already used to Cali's weather and still wearing a jacket throughout the day so it'll take a couple days to get used to the heat again.

Arizonnnnna

So today me and Lance drove down to Arizona to his parents house for the weekend.. well at least for Lance it's the weekend. I will actually be staying here until the beginning of July to do my state board testing and help Lance's family with their firecracker stand for the 4th of July. That's a whooole month I will be here in Arizona and Lance will be in Cali :[ not looking forward to it. UNLESS me and my mom decide to take a random road trip to Cali in the middle of my visit here in AZ which I'm really hoping for.

One of the things I was actually excited about coming down here for was to see our families and spend time with them, Especially this little one!

Hopies! Hahaha I love her faces in the bottom right hand pictures. She cracks me upppp and is the cutest little niece ever! I love spending time with her and I get to for the next whole month!

The drive down here was actually quite the drive..it was more like a dance party in the car haha. I am looking forward to many many more of those!

Rewind, Stop, Play

So I was supposed to start this blog forever ago, and never got around to it, but now that I have so much time on my hands and was checkin out everyone else's cute blogs I decided it was time to really start one for me and Lance! Almost everything we write on here will be from me, but I'm sure Lance will throw in his say every once in a while.

For our first blog I decided I would just share a little bit about what me and Lance have been up to.
Lance and I met in 2008 and had so many fun and interesting times together before he enlisted in the United States Navy in January of 2010. He was in bootcamp until March and then in "A" school until June. This was the longest me and him had been apart and out of communication since we had began to talk. After these long months Lance was stationed here in San Diego and has been here ever since. We've survived the distance with text, phone calls, email, skype, and weekend visits back and forth. When we got married in January 2011 we decided I would stay in Arizona and finish my schooling in Cosmetology while everything was being set up and processed in the military as me being his wife. Well, I finally finished my cosmo hours in May and have been able to finally move here to California with him and actually live our married lives together! Now that I'm here we've been getting our house together, taking drives to check out different places, going shopping, seeing movies, making meals, and enjoying our time together. We've even had a few visitors which we both enjoy, but I really enjoy because I'm just at home during the day while Lance is at work until I get my license and can get a job working in the salon. Being married and finally being able to be with Lance has been so fun. I still wake up and go to sleep so excited and feeling so blessed that I have Lance in my life and that we get to spend the rest of our lives together.

One thing that we've had to learn and do as a newlyweds is buy a couch, TV, kitchen supplies and groceries for our house, and boy have me and Lance had quite the adventure doing it! When we went to buy our couch we walked around and sat on just about every single couch to check it out and make sure we got the one that was most comfy, but still cute. And as for grocery shopping.. I don't think I have ever seen receipts that are so long! I even saved them to document it!

I'm actually someone who likes to decorate with black furniture rather than brown, but there was only two black couches and they were both leather and literally felt like we were sitting in chairs that are supposed to help with your posture..if thats even a real thing.
